Guidelines for Project Presentations
Good presentations will:
- Be organized and professional:
- Cover: introduction; main parts project; conclusion.
- Know which group member will handle which part of the presentation
- Practice your talk several times
- Keep to time limit
15 minutes plus 5 minutes for
handouts plus Q/A with audience = 20mins
- Behave and present professionally and stay on-topic
- Contain mathematics content, and briefly explain:
- What questions you analyzed quantitatively
- What mathematical/quantitative tools you used to answer
- Answers or partial answers you found
- Use proper mathematical terms, notation, graphs (with labels) etc.
- Incorporate proper presentation skills. Presentation should be
- Clear and easy to understand (without "dumbing-down" ; see B.)
- Precise
- Informative
- Interesting
- Optional: handout(s)
