Cover Sheet Assignments:

• Weekly, expository "structured diary entries"
• Are attached as cover page to top of HW

• First half: "What I have learned this week"
• Second half: "What I am confused about"

• Critical: Students must be specific
  • First half must be expository
    (Not just "I understood A, & learned B")
  • Must include several worked-out examples

• Graded: check-plus/check/check-minus/zero

• Instructor feedback: short but individualized comments/Qs/As on cover sheets; followup with class on board or by email
