Once again I learned that there are lots of methods of solving problems than just one. However, I learned that some methods of problem solving are better that others. Also not all methods will work the same in every problem. I feel that using pictures or diagrams is the best method to start off with. Then to follow up the problem but using number equations. I learned a lot by working in groups coming up with lesson plans. It made me realize lesson plans take time to come up with successful ways of teaching. -- HollieI had the idea of asking my roommate who is not in the class to look over the problems and then look at the way I have described how to solve the problem. That way if she is confused in any way she can tell me where I will need more explaining for that certain part of the problem. The Candy Game is one that I had a hard time trying to explain. You continued on my paper to explain how I got what I did. I think that if I am more consistent with how to explain the work it will become more natural for me. ...Number 12 took me forever. I tried to reason the question out and just could not. Thank you so much for going over it in class. It helped me to understand how to do it. The pictures and having the class explain it to you really helped me to learn the problem more.Thank you again. --Courtney
